book

A Shift in Shadows is officially in the hands of the copy-editor! Aside from reviewing the changes and feedback I get from the copy-editor the book is pretty much done. I can’t express how happy I am to not be editing anymore. I’ve already started writing the second book and it’s really nice to just be able to write again.

Once I get the copy-edited manuscript back I can finish formatting the paperback. I also have to sync up with the cover designer to give her the final page count so I can get the cover formatted for the paperback. Then it’s just a matter of uploading everything to Draft2Digital, Amazon, and IngramSpark. I’ve done most of the groundwork for this already so hopefully it won’t take too long to finish submitting everything.

Getting the book finished means I can also submit it to NetGalley and other review websites which is very exciting! The last major item on my list is to start the audition process for audiobook producers. I’ve decided to use Amazon’s ACX for this and already have an account setup, just waiting on the finished version of the book. The e-book and paperback will be released on October 26th but the audiobook will be released at a later date which is currently TBD.

So I’m basically at the hurry up and wait stage of the book release.
